Waste Connections Delivery Driver in Anchorage, Alaska
Alaska Waste , a Waste Connections company, has an immediate opening for a Cart Delivery Driver to support local routes in Anchorage, AK! Have you wanted to get your CDL? We can train and pay for your Class B CDL!
Schedule is Mon-Fri, 5-8's. Clock in time is 5:30am. After you get your CDL, you become a full-time driver for us here in Anchorage.
Pay starts at $22.00 per hour depending on experience. After you get your CDL, we bump you up to $25.00 per hour when you get your route!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to safely operate delivery truck to deliver containers.
Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
Ability to perform a physically demanding job, lifting and moving containers that weigh over 75 pounds.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Courteous interaction with our customers
Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 75 pounds. Moderate noise level.
Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which requires following basic safety precautions.
Exposure to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift at least 75lbs.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Ability to obtain Class B CDL within 90 days of employment.
Ability to pass a DOT Physical.
CDL is preferred.
Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and have an acceptable driving record.
