Fortive Corporation Service Technician in Arras-Cedex, France

Position Overview

The Service Technician will provide office based support providing best customer service, timely problem resolution, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation to both iNet issues and technical support requests. He / she is responsible for following ISC Standard Operating Procedures to accurately prepare, diagnose, clean, repair and test customer’s gas detection equipment with highest quality.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Customer Repair Operation (CRO)

  • Ensure the diagnosis of ISC instruments.

  • Issue out repair quote.

  • Issue out certificates for instruments.

  • Carry out the repair once the estimate has been accepted or the instrument is under warranty.

    1. iNet Fulfillment
  • Prepare iNet equipment for new contract, addendum and replacement.

  • Prepare instrument in line with iNet exchange program.

    1. Rental order
  • Preparation of rental equipment according to Customer request

  • Establish the delivery slip, relevant certification and move to shipping department.

  1. Internal Repair Operation (IRO)
  • Clean and repair iNet and Rental instruments back from the field.

    1. Other Operation activities
  • Maintain on daily basis the stock and inventory files / system with in and out parts and accessories.

  • When needed, help other teams to perform their duties in line with priority and workload (Receiving, shipping, standard order processing).

The Service technician will report to Fulfillment Operation team leader.

Le technicien de maintenance fournira une assistance en offrant le meilleur service à la clientèle, la résolution rapide des problèmes, l'analyse des causes ainsi que la mise en œuvre d'actions correctives pour les problèmes iNet et les demandes d'assistance technique. Il ou elle est responsable de suivre les procédures opérationnelles standard d'ISC pour préparer, diagnostiquer, nettoyer, réparer et tester avec précision les équipements de détection de gaz des clients avec la plus haute qualité.

Responsabilités:

  • Customer Repair Operation (CRO)

  • Assurer le diagnostic des instruments ISC.

  • Établir un devis de réparation.

  • Délivrer des certificats pour les instruments.

  • Effectuer la réparation une fois que le devis a été accepté ou que l'instrument est sous garantie.

    1. Contrat iNet
  • Préparer les équipements iNet pour les nouveaux contrats, les avenants et les remplacements.

  • Préparer les instruments conformément au programme d'échange iNet.

    1. Commande de location
  • Préparation de l'équipement de location en fonction de la demande du client

  • Établir le bordereau de livraison, les certifications nécessaires et les transmettre au service des expéditions.

  1. Internal Repair Operation (IRO)
  • Nettoyer et réparer les instruments iNet et de location qui reviennent du terrain.

    1. Autres activités opérationnelles
  • Maintenir quotidiennement les fichiers et le système de stock et d'inventaire avec les pièces et les accessoires entrants et sortants.

  • Si nécessaire, aider les autres équipes à accomplir leurs tâches en fonction de la priorité et de la charge de travail (réception, expédition, traitement des commandes standard).

Le technicien de service reporte au Fulfillment Operation team leader.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.

  • A professional level in English language is required

  • Likes team work, builds good working relationships by supporting and helping others

  • Easy to learn in Technical environment to provide technical support to our customers.

  • Excellent technical, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Organized, ability to take initiative, problem solver

  • Have an agenda, work with a sense of urgency, Aligns his actions with his goals, is prepared, disciplined and ingenious.

  • Good knowledge of basic IT network technology (IP address, Wifi, Bluetooth, 4G) and Microsoft Office suite.

    Preferred

  • Ideally, good knowledge of gas detection business

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with ability to tailor communication and style to internal and external audiences

  • Thorough understanding of all Industrial Scientific products, applications, and service offerings

  • Help with administrative tasks, inventory, telephone reminders

    Education

  • Have a higher technician's certificate in electronics or electrical engineering or chemistry.

  • At least professional level of English would be a plus

    Qualifications

OBLIGATOIRES

  • Au moins deux ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire.

  • Un niveau professionnel en anglais est requis.

  • Facilité d'apprentissage dans un environnement technique afin de fournir une assistance technique à nos clients.

  • Excellentes compétences techniques, analytiques et organisationnelles

  • Organisé, capacité à prendre des initiatives, à résoudre des problèmes

  • Travailler avec un sens de l'urgence, aligner ses actions sur ses objectifs, être préparé, discipliné et ingénieux.

  • Bonne connaissance des technologies de base des réseaux informatiques (adresse IP, Wifi, Bluetooth, 4G) et de la suite Microsoft Office.

    Préférées

  • Idéalement, bonne connaissance du secteur de la détection des gaz

  • Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite avec la capacité d'adapter la communication et le style à des publics internes et externes.

  • Compréhension approfondie de tous les produits, applications et offres de services d'Industrial Scientific

  • Aide aux tâches administratives, à l'inventaire, aux rappels téléphoniques

    Formation

  • Titulaire d'un brevet de technicien supérieur en électronique, électrotechnique ou chimie.
