Shire Sr Financial Analyst - Technical Operations in Bannockburn, Illinois
This position is responsible for supporting financial reporting and analysis for the Global Technical Operations Profit & Loss statement, operational reporting, and decision support. Key job responsibilities include:
Assist in the preparation and consolidation of budgets, long range plans, and latest views (forecasts) to support the timelines communicated by Corporate Finance. This includes the oversight of the process and coordination/consolidation of global locations and operational functions.
Work closely with business partners to understand budget/forecast requirements and provide overview and recommendations as necessary. Drive behavior around financial responsibility across the organization.
Provide monthly reporting & consolidation for the Global Tech Ops Network including manufacturing variations, P&L analysis, Headcount analysis
Partner with the Integration team to ensure that the Technical Operations results are accurately reflected by supporting system design and maintenance.
Drive process improvement and efficiencies for the entire Global Tech Ops Network by partnering with Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis, Network, and Site Finance teams.
Strong business acumen and the ability to manage multiple projects
Self-starter with strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
Ability to effectively influence and drive consensus across global cross functional teams and the ability to interact with all levels of management
Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
Advanced knowledge of PC Applications: Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint along with a working knowledge of SAP, JD Edwards, and Hyperion
Ability to generate ideas, develop alternatives, rapidly decide upon best course of action and drive implementation of that decision
Owns career and is accountable for managing own development

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (or country equivalent)
Demonstration of key finance competencies with3 to 5 years of relevant experience with financial planning and reporting
