Concord Group Insurance Claims Operations Supervisor in Bedford, New Hampshire

Our position of Claims Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities within an assigned Claims Division area. This also includes the responsibility of involving the products or services of the Company by working individually or through associates. Work is performed independently.

Responsibilities

  • Make suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, termination, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of associates.

  • Assist management by supervising office/department activities in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Interviewing, training and developing associates and conducting performance reviews

  • Planning, assigning, and directing work to meet Company objectives and expectations

  • Addressing complaints and resolving problems

  • Review the progress made in meeting objectives, analyze operating procedures and recommend improvements, when needed.

  • Regularly update management regarding the progress in meeting objectives and problems involving area activities or services.

  • Review files, documentation, and correspondence and respond appropriately.

  • Obtain and maintain appropriate adjuster’s license(s) as required.

  • Demonstrates innovativeness and continually seeks more efficient ways to process and handle work.

  • Maintain punctual attendance according to an assigned work schedule at a Company-approved work location.

  • Travel, attend seminars, and attend other training classes as required.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere upon request.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred

  • Property and Casualty knowledge is preferred

  • Ability to read, interpret, and react to documents such as insurance policies, procedure manuals, and legal documents.

  • Ability to assemble information, develop opinions, and clearly express decisions using sound reasoning and judgement.

  • Ability to communicate, in both oral and written formats, in a polite, clear, and accurate way.

  • Possess good problem resolution skills and good interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to deal with a diverse group of individuals and manage varied factual circumstances.

  • Ability to carry out complex instructions and delegating work to associates when needed

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security.
