As a Lead of Global Sustainability Team, you will be an integral member of the Global Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Group responsible for developing long-term global renewable / greenhouse gas free electricity adoption strategies to meet Micron’s Sustainability goals. You will also assist the team to organizational efficiency and developing the Sustainability execution plan (including Network coordination and partnership).

In this role you will need to work closely with teams from Global EHS, Global Procurement, Global and Site Facilities, Corporate Finance, Risk Management and Manufacturing Central Team, as well as external industry agencies and consultants to fulfill the position and group responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Develop a roadmap and support continued evolution and execution of Micron’s renewable / greenhouse gas-free electricity supply strategy to drive the success of Micron’s Sustainability programs in alignment with the long-term Sustainability strategy.

  • Support long-term financial analysis of the projects for decision analysis.

  • Collaborate with internal organizations including sustainability, procurement, legal, tax, engineering, and finance to implement supply solutions. Develop and grow relationships with key developers, regulators, and other partners for long term benefits.

  • Stay informed of the technical, market, and regulatory developments in the renewable energy industry (especially in U.S. and APAC) and communicate key trends, risks and potential impacts to management.

  • Take an active role in regulatory processes and influence the design of new clean and renewable energy supply solutions offered by utilities and other suppliers.

  • Prepare executive reports, communications, and training. Support internal and external inquiries concerning sustainability issues.

  • Plan, implement and govern ISO 50001 Energy Management System implementation and management for all operational sites including enterprise certification including collaboration with subject matter authorities in supporting network energy efficiency efforts.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (10 to 20 % at times).

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sustainability, corporate responsibility, engineering or related field

Desired: Certification in Energy Management, Sustainability, or Engineering

Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in utility scale renewable energy solutions including wind, solar, hydro and storage projects on sourcing and management upon commercially online.

  • 5+ years’ experience in environmental sustainability efforts and environmental engineering fields

  • Strong in compiling executive level reports and presentation materials.

  • Experience in leading multiple projects with all internal/external partners and consultants.

  • Experience in US Renewable Energy market and environmental sustainability reporting such as Greenhouse Gas Protocol and Environmental Attributes Certificates guidelines

  • Experience in ISO 50001 Energy Management System of manufacturing / semiconductor sites.

  • Strong social skills, ensuring clear and sound communication.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office include PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

  • Program and Project management experience.

Additional advantages:

  • Experience working with detailed financial models of renewable energy projects, identifying key risks and sensitivities, and leading all related due diligence efforts (financial, commercial, technical, development)

  • Experience in electrical grid interconnection processes including other sources of clean electricity such as nuclear, green hydrogen, Ammonia etc.

  • Good understanding of RE100, CDP, Greenhouse Gas Protocol
