Position Title: Quality Manager in Projects

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week

Summary of Duties: Responsible for the project’s quality in the Electrification and Automation business unit. Work closely with all stakeholders of Electrification and Automation division. Work closely with the project execution team to ensure the customer quality management requirements and ensure the implementation of a quality plan (including quality assurance measures such as review / test / validation / internal audit / customer complaint). Ensure cross-functional cooperation with Procurement, Logistics, R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and relevant suppliers to achieve quality business goals. Adapt and provide a project-specific management system including project documentation, regulations, methods and IT tools, following a risk-based approach. Ensure professional non-conformance (NC) management. Coach project team members in agile/lean methods. Ensure the implementation of quality improvement methods and improves process performance management (e.g., 8D, RCA, FMEA). Select innovative digital solutions to improve project quality. Ensure the implementation and improvement of project quality reporting as integrated part of project reporting. Contribute to project planning to ensure that project-specific, quality-relevant requirements are considered starting with sales phase. Initiate training for project employees with regards to quality (e.g., methods and processes). Develop, control and ensure the implementation of a quality plan (incl. quality assurance measures such as review / test / validation / internal audit) for the project derived from existing QM system agreed upon with the own organization, customer, partners and suppliers. Advise and/or conduct quality-related methodology/tools (esp. risk management, identify and conduct relevant lessons learned, Quality Gates, NC management, root cause analyze, etc.). Remote work permitted.

Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of experience as a Quality Engineer or an acceptable alternate occupation. Employer will alternatively accept a Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and three (3) years of experience as a Quality Engineer or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires experience with the following: Data Analytics/ Digitalization skills; Root cause analysis; 8D; 5Whys; DMAIC; Fishbone; Ishikawa; Taproot; Advanced Product Quality Planning; Statistical Process Control Process; test method validation; project quality management experience.
