Role Definition

Manages engineering for design and development of electrical installation relating to the Hard Rock Vehicles. Specifically, this role is responsible for day-to-day leadership and management of the Electrical Installation team, based in Burnie, Tasmania.

The role will report directly to the Resource Industries Wheeled Products Electrical Installation Manager. They will be responsible for establishing the Annual Business Plan (ABP), based around the product group budget letter, and reporting monthly on the actual financial performance compared to the business plan. The team is fundamentally a service provider to the L6 Product Group. The role will be accountable for delivering approved projects included in the ABP to the agreed timetable. Throughout the year any scope changes will be reviewed with the product group and the impact to timing and business plan will be reflected in the quarterly Rolling Business Model (RBM) process.

Responsibilities

  • Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders.

  • Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization.

  • Managing high-impact, short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality.

  • Maintaining product release plans and material plans; driving programs to completion on time and within budget.

  • A degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum is strongly preferred.

Degree Requirement

Engineering degree required with 3-5 years of applicable experience or 10 years of direct professional experience in lieu of degree.
