Three Rivers Energy Lab Technician in Coshocton, Ohio

Laboratory Technicians are responsible for conducting "applications research" experiments by applying standard techniques and procedures, as well as performing all appropriate analytical tests required on the experimental samples in addition to some interpretation of the results.

Responsibilities:

  • Diligently strive to continually maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment in the laboratory.
  • Efficient scheduling of workload.
  • Complete analysis of all final product tanks and report results to individuals qualified to release product
  • Ensure all necessary tests are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all data is entered in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all Quality Control Standards, Duplicates, and Cross Validations are completed as per the specified frequencies.
  • Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Control Procedures are followed.
  • Maintain and carry out calibrations of assigned lab equipment
  • Ensure Quality Assurance on supporting laboratory equipment is conducted according to schedule
  • Ensure that all data that leaves the lab is as accurate and precise as analytically possible via efficient and timely QC data entry.
  • Clean and upkeep all instruments.
  • Ensure all other QC data is within control limits.
  • Notify QC Manager when any QC Standards are not within specified limits.
  • Perform all tasks and/or duties assigned by the QC Manager.
  • Safe work practices are a condition of employment.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and friendly atmosphere.
  • Scheduling includes shift work, some weekends, and occasional holidays
  • Evaluate and release all ingredients and raw materials for use within the plant
  • Maintain and carry out calibrations of all lab equipment
  • Review completed batch production and laboratory control records of critical process steps before release of API for distribution

     

Background/Experience:

  • Chemistry qualification desirable but not necessary.
  • Prior laboratory experience is required. 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in standard laboratory practices and exposure to the concepts of quality assurance and quality control within the laboratory environment
  • Experience in working in an FDA regulated environment or food environment is desirable.
  • Able to multi-task and be technically versed.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience
