Commodity Manager – Packaged Gases

Here’s the Gist:

This role will work within Wolfspeed’s Supply Chain Procurement team and will be responsible for the management of Wolfspeed’s Packaged Gases and other production raw materials. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, supplier relationships, supplier scorecards, price negotiations, payment terms, rebates, contracts, and managing supplier issues through to successful completion.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.

  • Supplier continuous improvement including scorecard process.

  • Escalation path to supplier executives.

  • Understand market and drive long term cost including global negotiations.

  • Develop and execute commodity strategy.

  • Manage and prioritize cost programs, including second sourcing activities.

  • Establish pricing roadmaps to drive margin favorability

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • BS in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain related field

  • 3 years’ experience in a category management role

  • Demonstrated experience working in a self-directed environment

  • Energetic individual who can service a dynamic and exciting manufacturing and product line

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Responsive and good written and verbal communication skills

  • Manage supplier relationship on day to day basis and negotiate favorable long-term contract.
