Northrop Grumman Staff Cost and Schedule Control Analyst- Redondo Beach CA (TS/SCI Clearance Required) in El Segundo, California

Northrop Grumman Space Systems program has an opening for a Staff Cost and Schedule Control Analyst - Level 5 that will interact with various business areas and division staff to support the Earned Value Management reporting requirements. The Analyst will interface closely with other Program Control Analysts, Control Account Managers (CAMs) as well as other management and Business/Finance to provide financial support and analysis. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leading all aspects of financial management on programs, including budgets, forecasting, planning, estimate-at-complete (EAC) maintenance, program control/Earned Value Management (EVMS), and ad hoc analyses and reporting.

  • Setting up and maintaining cost control system, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.

  • Incorporate changes into the EVMS system in order to maintain cost and schedule baselines

  • Performing analyses and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.

  • Incorporate changes into the EVMS system in order to maintain cost and schedule baselines

  • Ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government

  • Supporting the Control Account Managers (CAMs) in the Variance Analysis Reporting (VAR) process.

  • Leading the Baseline Change Control process by working with CAMs, Schedulers and other staff to document and implement change requests into the cost management system (Cobra).

  • Working with Control Account Managers to prepare budgets and schedules and forecasts for contract work and perform and/or assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.

  • Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

  • Performing monthly, quarterly and annual Estimates at Complete (EACs).

  • Setting up, prepare and follow up with all required financial reports.

  • Effectively communicating with leadership and internal and external customers regarding financial status, metrics and deliverables.

  • Assisting in preparing for internal and external audits.

  • Maintain and update cost control systems (eg. SAP, CostPoint, and COBRA)

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This position requires full-time on-site support.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of related experience - OR - a Master's degree with 13+ years of related experience. Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

  • Experience in DoD setting with understanding of government Cost Accounting - Standards, FAR, & DFARs.

  • Experience in cost management, finance management, or pricing & estimating.

  • Experience successfully managing and producing data with strict deadlines.

  • Experience with financial analysis and/or cost analysis reporting.

  • Government compliant Earned Value Management System (EVM) experience and customer reporting in accordance with Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) format.

  • Strong PC skills and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel.

  • Experience with EVM Cost Management Software (CMS).

  • Strong analytical ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cobra experience preferred, or MPM/other CMS tools.

  • CostPoint, SAP experience preferred

  • Experience with Integrated Program Management Data Analysis Report (IPMDAR) format

  • Experience with program planning/scheduling.

  • Experience with Microsoft Project.

  • Aerospace/Defense Industry experience.

Salary Range: $136,300 - $204,500

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
