Robert Half Controller in Elkhart, Indiana

Description We are looking for a Controller to join our team in Elkhart, Indiana. This role is crucial in providing leadership and direction to our accounting team, establishing relationships with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders, and overseeing the accounting operations of the company. The successful candidate will also manage financial forecasting, variance, and cash flow analyses, and ensure strict compliance with all company policies, procedures, and controls.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, direction, and management to the accounting team

• Develop relationships with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders

• Advise on long-term business and financial planning

• Oversee the accounting operations of the company, including monthly accounting close, financial reporting, A/P & A/R functions, monthly account reconciliations, and fixed assets

• Manage the process for financial forecasting, variance, and cash flow analyses

• Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting

• Lead the annual budget process

• Ensure strict compliance with all company policies, procedures, and controls

• Oversee the internal audit of accounting procedures

• Oversee the company’s annual external auditing and taxation processes and filings

• Identify and advise on opportunities to improve corporate governance, cost controls, processes, and KPIs. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is mandatory

• Proficient in executing Accounting Functions and Auditing

• Demonstrated experience in managing Budget Processes

• Knowledge of SAP is crucial

• Must hold a CPA Designation

• Ability to lead and manage a team

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and working under pressure

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Ability to work independently and within a team.
