The Mars Wrigley factory in Gainesville, GA, has both Maintenance Technician AND Sr. Maintenance Technician positions available!

Required Shift:

12 Hour Night Shift 5pm- 5:30am

This schedule repeats every two weeks.

Week 1: On Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Off Wednesday and Thursday)

Week 2: On Wednesday and Thursday (Off Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday )

Maintenance Technician Job Description

Job Purpose: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and performing mechanical repairs on all assigned equipment, including basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems at the component level (e.g., packaging, conveying, processing or facilities equipment, etc).

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment Basic Computer skills required (e.g., Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements. Required to participate in a stringent onboarding and training program within the first 7 weeks of employment (no vacation time will be approved during this time)

Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs) Frequent bending, stooping, handling and gripping. Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces. Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift). Ability to read, write and speak English.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Technical Degree 4 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment Possess a fundamental understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical schematics/drawings. Understand TPM Theory and Concepts

What will be your key responsibilities? Troubleshoot and repair equipment, failed components, and centerline adjustments. Conduct Preventative Maintenance (PM) and support operations with equipment set up and changeover. Document Work Orders (WOs) and PMs using computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for Plant maintenance functions. Some fabrication and/or machinist work; trained as required. Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Teams, train operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AMs) activities and participate in Breakdown Analysis/Elimination efforts. Sr. Maintenance Technician Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Sr. Maintenance Technician supports production operations and is responsible for troubleshooting and performing mechanical, production and ancillary equipment repairs on all assigned equipment, including basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems at the component level (e.g., packaging, conveying, processing or facilities equipment, etc.) Trains and develops the skills of Maintenance Technician personnel and performs preventative and predictive maintenance.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent 4 years as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment Experience with production operation, troubleshooting and repair. Basic Computer skills required (e.g., Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) U nderstanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements. What will be your key responsibilities? Functions as the Subject Matter Expert and Safety/GMP Lead on equipment/machines, plant safety, quality, and productivity requirements. Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair for hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems Supports and plans the Engineering Department in equipment installations, PMs, and Work Orders Training technicians and operators in AM and PM activities. Uses MSE/TPM and performance data for selected machines and communicates action plans. Use PLC to troubleshoot and calibrate electrical components, including identifying faulty equipment. Lead a minimum of (2) PM Pillar Projects per year. Leader in communicating with technical associates and management.
