LOCATION: District Wide, teaching classes virtually (Courses stream through web-conference to various High Schools) HOURS: The candidate for this position will need to be flexibility and could teach one or multiple sections per semester. Classes to start Fall 2024 Responsible for managing the instructional process, associated curriculum review and development and student advising within the area of instruction. Provide educational leadership and work effectively with faculty, administration, and campus support staff including workplace learning services to perform contract work. Areas of instruction to be covered could include (but not limited to): o 10-533-110 AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE I ...relating to the deaf culture including non-manual grammatical markers, signing, fingerspelling, classifying and the technology related to deafness. o 10-533-111 AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE II ...a more in-depth study relating to Deaf culture including non-manual grammatical markers, signing, fingerspelling, classifying and the technology related to deafness. Specific duties and responsibilities will be discussed as needs arise within the different areas of instruction. Essential Functions Statement(s) Responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering instruction and assessment of learning outcomes. Utilize engaging instructional strategies and methodologies which foster student success both in and outside of the classroom. Maintain accurate student records and communication. Advise and support students as a mentor and role model in the achievement of their learning and career goals. This includes being accessible to students outside of scheduled classroom time. Provide educational leadership and work effectively with faculty, administration, and campus support staff. Maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements and licensure required by other agencies to maintain individual and program accreditation. Comply with College policies and practices related to instruction, assessment, and delivery.
