Position Specific Description
This position is part of the growing Renewable Fuels Team within NextEra Energy’s Power Generation Division. The Lead Project Manager will manage a portfolio of large-to-medium scale technical projects supporting new construction and existing assets. This role will be based in Houston, Texas.
Preferred Qualifications-
Working experience as a technical project manager on a variety of large-to-medium scale projects of high complexity
Strong engineering background with a solid understanding of energy or chemical process development. Specific experience with Landfill Gas Treatment or Coal Mine Methane treatment is a plus.
Experienced at interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams in executing assigned projects (i.e., Originations, Development, Permitting, HS&E, Business management, Operations, Construction, Commissioning and Operations)
Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and subcontracting)
Familiarity with power and gas industry standards and equipments
Comfortable providing engineering support to a midstream processing facility.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees a variety of large-scale projects of high complexity
Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes
Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
Identifies issues and challenges, measures and validates results, and implements solutions
Provides expert information to internal and external clients on complex issues
Creates and communicates presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholders
Conducts external research and stays abreast of new developments or innovative advancements pertaining to the project
Provides coaching, leadership and direction to project team
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Grad / GED
Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
Experience: 6+ years

Master's Degree
