ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance partner to Shire Western CIS sub-cluster business (Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia): contribute to the achievement of the company's business goals by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy to the cluster and country management teams and to the company staff to support business decisions and to enable the team members to reach their objectives.
Prepare monthly financial reporting package to measure actual business performance in the sub-cluster and to provide explanation of the variances vs budget and forecast targets. Ensure necessary financial analysis is provided to the management team to support business decision process. Establish reliable internal reporting to appropriately measure organization’s performance, and plan necessary actions in relevant key processes and areas (key performance indicators - KPI’s).
Guide preparation of robust annual budgets and monthly LV forecasts to set challenging, but at the same time realistic goals for the cluster and country commercial teams. Provide support to the cluster management, business teams and functions during budget and forecast preparation and reviews. Develop detailed financial targets to provide guidance/control tool to drive business efficiency and to control spending.
Participate in the EAMEA commercial meetings ensuring financial performance is well understood, budgets and forecasts are appropriately challenged and commercial decisions reflect the financial reality.
Oversee preparation of the financial accounts and external reporting in the local entities by external service providers to ensure that the accounts and reporting are presented accurately and on time. Maintain and follow all necessary financial policies and procedures.
Establish a robust systems of internal controls to allow the organization to comply with ethical rules, guidelines set by local industry/authorities, book keeping rules as described by tax legislation, and approval requirements for all major transactions and events.
Develop and maintain effective credit and collections policies, as well as risk assessment covering business activities in sub-cluster countries .
Partner with business operations and supply chain on designing and implementing an S&OP process.
