Shire Launch Program Manager in Lexington, Massachusetts

The Global Launch Program Manager reports to the Global Launch Excellence Lead and is responsible for driving the operational execution of the Global Launch Plan aligned to the globally standardised Framework and end-to-end processes for Global Launch Planning and Execution.

Primary Role:

•Drive operational execution of agreed Global Launch Plan and monitor & report variance

•Drive LPT preparedness for Monthly Launch Management, 6 Monthly Deep-dive and Go-no-Go Gate Review L-24, advocating transparency in launch status reporting, supporting the focus on priorities, early risk identification and mitigation

•Champion standardised Global Launch Framework and end-to-end processes

Key Responsibilities:

Drive operational execution of agreed Global Launch Plan and monitor & report variance

•Liaise with Global Commercial Lead to ensure cross-functional ownership of one Global Launch Plan and enhance functional accountability of global launch deliverables

•Manage progress of launch activities against base line plan and monitor & report on variance

•Accelerate launch execution through continouous cross-functional alignment and early risk identification and mitigation securing flawless execution of globally defined “Must Haves”

•Business partner with launch stakeholders to build an open and transparent launch culture to support early issue identification and resolution

•Support on-time Global to Country deliverables as defined in the various Country Launch Activation Plans

Drive LPT preparedness for Monthly Launch Management, 6 Monthly Deep-Dive and Go-no-Go Gate Review L-24, advocating transparency in launch status reporting, supporting the focus on priorities, early risk identification and mitigation

•Business partner with the Global Commercial Lead to co-lead launch sub-teams and prepare Monthly LPT Launch Management Reviews and align on risks, issues and corrective actions with continuous focus on launch priority and risk mitigation by stage of launch via Launch Framework, Tools & End-to-End processes

•Drive LPT preparedness for 6-monthly Launch Management Deep Dive Reviews and Go-no-Go Gate Review @ -L-24 to ensure preparedness of brand strategy and program deliverables for go-to-market handover to early launch country teams

•Collaborate with Global Program Manager as custodian of IPP milestones to ensure one source of truth

Champion standardized Launch Framework and end-to-end processes:

•Promote and drive on-going use of Launch Framework and end-to-end processes at cross functional launch team level, supporting a sustainable and high performing launch capability

•Support and enable best practice sharing and cross functional collaboration across programs, sub-teams, functions and franchises

Qualifications:

•BS in science, business, or related field required; advanced degree a plus

•3+ years of business experience in the Pharmaceutical and / or BioTech industry

•Commercial / marketing experience, incl. new product launches both at global and affiliate levels

•Significant experience working with and/or leading cross-functional and global teams

•Strong process & project management capabilities, with demonstrated versatility in project management tools. PMP certification a plus

•Strong knowledge of key pharmaceutical functions – good understanding of global drug development, regulatory and commercialization processes

•A self-starter who is pro-active, has tact and diplomacy, and is a true team player

•Strong interpersonal skills reflecting cultural awareness and sensitivities, unique ability to manage group/team dynamics, and conflict resolution

•Strong communications and presentation skills, including written and oral communication of executive level information and recommendations; global and cross-functional communications

•Ability to synthesize complex and diverse inputs to a problem, and recommend solutions/ preferred options
