About the role: At the Boston Scientific Interventional Oncology & Embolization (IO&E) franchise within the Peripheral Intervention division, we design devices used by interventional radiologists in minimally invasive image-guided procedures. Our products include radioembolic beads, cryoablation systems, coils, particles & gels for embolization, as well as catheters and wires. As part of our team, you'll collaborate with technical leads and developers to create scalable web applications using React for the front-end and Next.js for server-side logic and APIs. Your code will follow industry best practices, and you'll contribute to maintaining high code coverage through automated testing. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain scalable web applications using React (front-end) and Next.js (back end). Write clean, efficient code following industry standards. Create automated unit and integration tests using technologies like Jest. Participate in code reviews to ensure quality. Review requirements, designs, and test artifacts. Deploy applications on AWS cloud infrastructure. Adhere to medical device software procedures and quality standards. Engage in daily stand-up meetings and agile activities. Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Legal, and Security teams to deliver compliant software. Promote best practices such as Agile, Lean, and User-Centered Design. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming. 2-3 years of experience in full stack web development (Angular/Vue.js/React). Intermediate knowledge of JavaScript and one of TypeScript/C++/C#/Java/Go. Familiarity with TDD principles and Unit Test Frameworks (e.g., Jest). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated success in team environments. Preferred qualifications: Expertise in agile methodologies, lean startup, and design thinking. Proficiency in Next.js and server-side rendering. Experience with databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostGreSQL, MongoDB) and AI/ML tools. Ability to create and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau to visualize data effectively. Entrepreneurial spirit that can operate independently with little direction and challenge the status quo. Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally including software as a medical device (SaMD) experience. Experience with digital products or medical imaging. Promote a balanced product development team: integrate and enrich engineering, product design, product management, and data science cultures internally.
