About the role

As Technical Product Manager, you will be a member of a team that is responsible for the product management and application support for the "Teamcenter Simulation" product.

Teamcenter Simulation enables users to easily manage and orchestrate simulation and test processes, the input and result data, tools and workflows across the engineering domains (3D CAE, System Simulation, etc.) in tight connection to the product lifecycle – a capability generally referred to as Simulation Process and Data Management (SPDM).

SPDM with Teamcenter Simulation is a part of the Simcenter portfolio developed by the Simulation and Test Solutions (STS) segment in Siemens Digital Industries Software (https://www.sw.siemens.com/).

As data are becoming increasingly recognized as highly valuable assets at all our customers, SPDM is rapidly becoming a critical capability on the cross-roads between keeping models and data from simulation and physical testing secure and traceable, and making the same data easily available for post processing, knowledge sharing, closed loop verification management.

Specifically for this position, you will be responsible for the integration of Teamcenter Simulation with the domain of multi-disciplinary analysis and optimization, including data analytics and visualization. Our ambition is to lead the market with a flawless user experience, powerful workflow automation and highly interactive results reporting.

Responsibilities

In this position you will make sure that our product continues to address current and future challenges of the SPDM market and you will achieve that by inbound as well as outbound activities.

Inbound support:

  • Interacting with internal customers (sales, services, industry teams, applications owners etc.) and external customers in understanding the business needs and requirements

  • Creating the strategy and prioritizing the roadmap to maximize user value as well as business revenue

  • Translating and capturing the roadmap elements into capabilities, features and stories following the SAFe methodology

Outbound support includes:

  • Delivering technical presentations and product demonstrators

  • Training pre-sales, services and support teams on existing and new features

  • Supporting portfolio developers, business development teams, sales and pre-sales teams in customer pursuits

You will also support our go-to-market by:

Performing competitive analysis Participating and presenting at internal and external webinars, seminars and user conference. Promoting the product through writing blog posts, posting videos, contributing in discussion forums etc.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is comfortable with interacting with many team members such as other product managers, customers, the sales organization and who has the ambition to make an impact by delivering high end solutions to the market.

  • Must have knowledge of simulation applications and processes in industrial context, including HPC application

  • Experience using Simcenter simulation tools of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio and/or experience with Simcenter Testlab is a plus

  • Hands-on experience in engineering verification and validation processes in either automotive, aerospace or defense industry

  • Significant experience with cloud-native applications in engineering domain (CAD, Simulation) and applying PDM (Product Data Management) or SPDM (Simulation Process & Data Management) in production environment or consulting context (preferably using Siemens’ Teamcenter PLM)

  • Experience in defining software requirements and quality definitions. Experience with Agile SAFe is preferred.
