PACCAR Inc. Powertrain Aftersales & Training Strategy Assistant Director in Mount Vernon, Washington

Requisition Summary This position is required to provide leadership and consistency to the PACCAR Powertrain training organization. The person will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a cohesive training strategy. This role will act as the liaison between program management, aftersales, and marketing to develop internal readiness for product support. The role will be responsible for developing partnerships with the training departments at Kenworth and Peterbilt and establish the training requirements of the PACCAR Powertrain product portfolio for dealer technicians and vehicle support center agents. Job Functions / Responsibilities Oversee planning, development, and execution of national service and sales powertrain training curriculum/content Hire and build team to support curriculum development Develop and oversee process to ensure content is delivered to key stakeholders including division training departments, field service, and powertrain support functions Collaborate with division training management to test the development and relevancy of learning activities, training materials, facilitator guides, and lesson plans Develop communication strategy to ensure product updates/trending items are communicated expeditiously to field service stakeholders Manage department personnel to ensure production of quality training materials for dealer technicians, independent service providers, as well as public and private trade schools Ensure PACCAR Powertrain brand cohesiveness across training platforms Qualifications Strong training content development, project management, as well as organizational and team leadership skills An ability to form and maintain functional teams from a wide range of groups within the organization Effective and professional communications skills (verbal and written) with a high level of interpersonal skills Self-directed and key decision making competence with a sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple priorities Ability to confidently interface with all levels in the organization Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or related field required PMP of PgMP certification preferred Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology preferred 5+ years relevant work experience in the truck industry required 10+ years management of teams required Ability to travel up to 25% Company Information PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905.
