Shire Product Manager Hematology in Munich (Baxalta), Germany
Support and develop sales & market activities and be accountable for short to medium term strategic operational plans and execution for products (including launches) under scope of responsibility. Actively contribute to the preparation and execution of new products launch excellence in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Medical Affairs management. Continuously review and analyze product line sales trends to ensure continued overall profitable growth and market position. Interface with all departments to ensure the continuous flow of information regarding current and future marketing opportunities. Continuous collection and management of data from a variety of internal/external sources to provide a common global marketplace perspective.
Development and implementation of various market plans in line with Global franchise requirements and organizational imperatives to support local organization’s operating objectives
Support new product launch activities (market, clinical, market access, overall plan,… findings, analysis and recommendations)
Provide inputs into sales tactics & operating plan. Develop target accounts and help preparing tenders in conjunction with sales management and assist in developing respective appropriate sales & pricing strategies.
Anticipate current & future trends in disease management and market environment which are likely to affect the performance and potential of the product
Develop and maintain strong relationship with key customers and participate in key customer events.
Act as point of first reference for all product related enquiries and work collaboratively with all relevant business partners to address any opportunity or issue
Design market research projects to assess customer behaviors to the current product range and new product introductions. Either conduct this research with in-house staff or manage an outside agency ie initial identification of suitable partner, definition of responsibilities, communication plan, divisions of responsibility, milestones, contract with company, review transcripts and reports, and recommend action plans from the research.
Prepare product forecasts, and constantly monitoring inventory levels including liaison with production (locally and globally) to ensure supply timelines.
Competitive Intelligence: Provide the sales team with the necessary expertise on competition’s product & developments. This involves sharing insights in strategy, delivering printed and electronic promotional material, product training, relevant clinical papers
Close liaison with the field force to assess customer’s response and adherence to Baxalta messaging as well as ensure optimal promotional materials usage
Liaise as appropriate with Cluster and International Marketing teams to optimize alignment and best practices sharing.
Ensure smooth monitoring of nursing @Home project (KPIs, patients follow-up…)
University degree required.
Ideally a medical/bio/pharmacist background combined with 2-3 years’ experience in Product Management and 2-3 years’ experience in Sales projects (customer oriented projects)
3-5 years of work experience in roles such as Marketing, Product Management or Sales required.
