GE Healthcare Care Alliance Director (Executive Program/Project Manager) in Remote, Illinois

Job Description Summary

A critical position to drive GE HealthCare's Care Alliance approach and deliver value to customers through long-term partnerships. The role is responsible for leading and directing all strategic initiatives, project management workstreams, and contract delivery for a Care Alliance customer. The role is close partner to the account executive, works with cross functional teams and is guided by operating procedures. The role has autonomy and requires high levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen to achieve outcomes.

This is a remote role that requires the candidate to work onsite at customer locations and occasionally from home office. To provide onsite customer support, candidate needs to reside in the Chicago IL or Milwaukee WI area or be willing to travel to Peoria, IL.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Governance - Stand up governance structure and integrated steering committees. Lead oversight partnership committee. Establish and align internal and external partnership meeting cadence. Oversee work stream committees. Establish a calendar of joint contract commitments across relationship. Develop partnership communications strategy – executive and system-wide communications. Cascade communications across projects.

  • Ensure alignment with local Market Vice President, customer priorities, and overall regional strategy.

  • Partnership delivery - Integrate all plans to committed outcomes – track dependencies. Develop and lead project plans: milestones, resourcing/deployment, and financial impact. Lead development of procurement and proactive compliance monitoring/ audit process. Establish risk management plan and tools. Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks.

  • Value creation - Set up value model for partnership (with Enterprise Solutions team support) and ensure all project value propositions align with goals. Apply value model to prioritize opportunities / projects. Set up performance measurement structure and reporting. Provide project status updates, track, and manage performance data with partnership dashboards.

  • Change Management and activation - Utilize CAP principles to enable and lead transformation. Lead change within project teams using GEHC CAP model. Establish vision and guiding principles of program with executive leadership.

  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve workstreams, processes or services. Utilize understanding of market trends and GEHC innovations to inform decision making process. Influence peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

  • Leads others to find creative solutions within complex processes, including manufacturing and product development dependencies. Leverage and influence adjacent functions needed to solve issues. Ability to interrogate data to evaluate quality of information. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision and serve customer.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in Healthcare, Long-Term Partnership Projects, Operational and/or Service leadership roles.

  • Solid business and financial acumen & strong analytical skills with knowledge of P&L, balance sheets, capital & operational planning in a Healthcare setting.

  • Proven record in developing strong customer relationships - acting as a trusted advisor - with excellent networking, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

  • Experienced in communication with all levels of internal and external customer organizations, including upper management.

  • Leading cross-functional and customer and/or supplier teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate and present complex business issues in a clear and concise manner.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

  • Experience anticipating challenges or roadblocks and successfully mitigating those risks while achieving desired outcomes for client and GEHC.

  • Experience maintaining a flexible approach when faced with business or client course corrections (i.e., client cost-out initiatives, industry economic conditions, healthcare reform, etc.)
