Shire Senior Windows Desktop Engineer in Remote, Pennsylvania

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Senior engineering resource for Windows operating system for Shire's PC environment.

  • Build, test, implement, and maintain Windows desktop operating system.

  • Build, test, implement, and maintain task sequence used as part of operating system deployment processes.

  • Define and facilitate Policy guidelines, and policy enforcement

  • Ensure standards and build specifications are consistently applied and maintained

  • Define, create and support OS Imaging, Provisioning and post deployment activities including Hardware-Independent Provisioning

  • Design, maintain and support image build infrastructure

  • Create and distribute Reports and Dashboards to various business units and departments

  • Define, create and support Application Blocking

  • Perform Security Auditing and Analysis on the enterprise standard build to ensure compliance

  • Assist in the maintenance and support of current endpoint management environments and deploy patches, fixes and upgrades when needed

  • Assist in the development and implementation of scripts for automating measured deployments and information gathering

  • Design forms, workflows, reports, etc

  • Validate forms, workflows, sync packages, etc before implementing in production (release management)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent experience

  • 5 years Windows (image) build, deployment, and support experience in large enterprise environments

  • LPM (power management) experience

  • Advanced scripting skills

  • Advanced GPO skills

  • Microsoft SQL experience.

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP, MCSA, MCSE or MCDBA)
