JOB SUMMARY:

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for sales targets and implementing sales strategies in order to attain sales volume, customer growth, patient growth and customer satisfaction for Immunology business in Sweden. The KAM establishes and builds relationships with key decision makers in their respective areas. They are responsible for implementing sales strategies in order to attain sales volume, patient growth, and revenue for the assigned therapies. He / she develop and maintain productive relationships with key administrative and decision makers to influence decisional processes to facilitate the immunology business in their area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for achieving/exceeding business results of the assigned accounts and sales area.

  • Is able to produce consistent competitive robust business/account plans in line with marketing / sales operations and company strategy

  • Is able to identify key opportunities and create and implement innovative solutions and manage / mitigate risk

  • Understands the market drivers and actively keeps abreast of trends and changes in the marketplace

  • Plan, implement and execute in accordance to account plans.

  • Build and develop professional long-term customer relationships with all relevant stakeholders in Sweden

  • Plan and prepare for each customer visit and record outcomes in account plans.

  • Propose and provide each customer with appropriate solutions that will maximize opportunities both for the customer and for Shire.

  • Communicate all relevant information to existing and potential customers to guarantee their awareness of Shires product portfolio and its benefits

  • Gather and share with line management all possible information on market intelligence and competitor activities to help anticipate competitive moves

  • Intimately understands and can utilize evidence related to the clinical/ therapy area

  • Able to challenge current customer thinking and use clinical evidence to support

  • Is involved in projects involving a cross functional internal team in line with company strategy and/or to move the business forward

  • Deal with customer complaints & implement corrective actions

  • Continuously assess the market for new customers / opportunities / risks for Shires products

  • Give input to budgets and forecasts in cooperation with line management / Marketing

  • Responsible for competitor-, sales- and strategies with the Nordic team and local Sales Manager and Franchise Head.

  • Responsible for local activities: projects with nurses, physicians and other stakeholders.

  • Participate in congresses and other customer events

  • Work closely with Nordic Marketing and implement the Brand plans

  • Work in close cooperation with the marketing team in order to prepare marketing material and strategies (translations) and find needs for Sweden

  • Be a part of organizing patient meetings and educations

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

  • LIF exam

  • Minimum 5 years of Sales experience within Healthcare Industry / Hospital environment / medical sales

  • Market Access, tender business experience

Other skills/attributes:

  • Fluency in speaking and writing Swedish and English is required.

  • Ability to communicate in other Nordic languages is desirable.

  • Nordic and International travel to events and site visits will be required.
