SUMMARY:

The Analytics and Technology Lead will play a pivotal role in leveraging data analytics and technology solutions to enhance patient safety and mitigate risks within our healthcare organization. This role will spearhead the development, implementation, and optimization of analytics-driven strategies aimed at identifying potential risks, improving patient outcomes, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation, fostering a culture of safety, and continuously improving processes to deliver high-quality care.

ATTRIBUTES
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Informatics, Data Science, or related field required. Master's preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare analytics, risk management, quality improvement, or related roles required. Hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements related to patient safety and risk management (e.g., HCAHPS, PSQIA, ERM).
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analytics Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive analytics strategy to proactively identify patient safety risks and trends using advanced analytics techniques, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
  • Event Reporting System: Oversees the design and operations of the event reporting system. Ensures efficient user experience, timely response to service requests, and implementation of strategic system enhancements.
  • Technology Integration: Collaborate with Information Technology and other stakeholders to assess, select, and integrate cutting-edge technology solutions and platforms that enhance patient safety, streamline risk management processes, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Management and Analysis: Oversee the collection, integration, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative healthcare data from multiple sources, including electronic health records (EHRs), incident reporting systems, patient feedback, safety culture and external databases, to derive actionable insights and recommendations. Provides statistical analysis in support of the development of patient safety and risk improvement plans.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Utilize data analytics to identify potential risks, adverse events, and safety hazards across clinical workflows, medication administration processes, and patient care practices. Recommends trends needing potential risk mitigation strategies and interventions to prevent patient harm and improve safety outcomes.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor patient safety initiatives, track progress, and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management interventions. Prepare regular and timely dashboards, reports and presentations for monitoring.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. PAY RANGE: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
