Job Description

We are now recruiting a Talent Acquisition Manager to support both our French Affiliate and European HQ, reporting directly into the Talent Acquisition Director for Europe (and dotted line into the Human Resources Director France).

This office-based role sits in our Rungis, France office location.

The TA Manager is responsible for all Talent Acquisition activities related to AbbVie’s French Commercial Affiliate as well as AbbVie’s European HQ. He or she also provides dotted line Talent Acquisition oversight for AbbVie’s manufacturing site in Pringy. The France team operates across multiple departments and delivers on the country talent acquisition strategy, which is set by the TA Manager. The TA Manager is also responsible for leading daily full-cycle operational delivery efforts from requirement definition through offer negotiation and hire.

Within this context, the principal responsibilities will be to  

  • Set the talent acquisition strategy for France, based on the enterprise TA strategy as well as local HR and business needs.

  • Role model effective recruiting process, practices and standards whilst providing high quality experience for candidates and hiring managers.

  • Partner closely with local BHR team and HR Centers of Excellences (Total Rewards, Talent Management, HR administration) to ensure that the holistic talent agenda is addressed and delivered.

  • Manage end-to-end Manager level recruitment across all functions across the Affiliate and European HQ.

  • Attract top diverse talent and develop a strong qualified talent pool across multiple functions of the business.

  • Define and execute the local EVP, Branding & Recruitment Marketing Strategy for the Affiliate, in collaboration with local Public Affairs, BHR & business leaders.

  • Hire, onboard, lead and manage a team of between 2-4 employees (development, performance management etc)

  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws and AbbVie policies and practices for applicant tracking compliance and reporting metrics.

  • Provide a true business partnership with hiring managers and leadership on all external staffing related issues. Build solid relationships with key partners across the organization that yield consistent processes and impactful results. Use data and market intelligence to provide consultative guidance.

  • Regularly assess future talent needs and partner with business and finance to ensure appropriate budgeting is in place to support recruiting demand.

  • Contribute actively to being part of the Europe TA Leadership Team by sharing experiences and best practices with peers and by driving initiatives and projects across the European region to enhance TA consistencies across the countries and deliver best in class TA service to the business.

  • Managing local TA vendor partnership (including monitoring of agency spend in collaboration with local procurement) and data integrity of TA systems (management, achievement of and provision of TA metrics).

  • Compile and communicate the knowledge base, industry overviews, market trends, and company initiatives to team members, BHR and business leaders. Develop and implement comprehensive Human Capital Response Plans to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

Ideally, you have an advanced degree and a minimum of 7 years of recruitment experience within a competitive, fast-paced environment.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Previous international work experience either from working abroad, working for large global company, or through exposure to regional or above market stakeholders

  • Proactive recruiting and sourcing experience including talent pipelining and long-term engagement strategies

  • Experience or exposure managing and executing on EVP, branding campaigns and recruitment marketing strategies

  • Prior staff management experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience of creating, setting TA strategy and delivering to strategy through others

  • Healthcare industry recruitment experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in collaborating with a broader HR Organization in support of business initiatives preferred.

  • Marketing and Sales experience a plus.

  • English language fluency (both speaking and written) – English is the working language of the European HQ and the Enterprise Talent Acquisition Team.

  • French language fluency (both speaking and written) - French is the working language of the French Affiliate.
