Packard Motor Car Foundation Events and Grounds Support in Shelby Township, Michigan
The Event and Grounds Support person at the Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site is a key team member responsible for providing assistance in event preparation, setup, and maintenance of the grounds. This role works closely with the Events Team and the Building & Grounds Manager and also plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of events and upkeep of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up infrastructure for events, including tables, chairs, signage, and promotional materials.
- Support the setup and organization of the weekly farmers market on Saturdays as needed.
- Help facilitate event setup and post-event cleanup activities.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks to preserve help preserve the appearance and functionality of the grounds.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work Saturdays, afternoons and evenings as needed.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and multitask effectively.
- Hands-on experience in event setup and coordination is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must reside nearby for quick response to even and ground maintenance needs.
- Handyman/Maintenance type experience strongly preferred.
- Requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Experience in customer service or working with volunteers is beneficial.
- Interest in history is a bonus.
