Shire Account Lead - Immunology & HAE - Field Based in United States
Field based covering the London & South East region for immunology and HAE product portfolio.
The Account Lead / Key Account Manager is responsible for the sales of the immunology portfolio in assigned accounts in his/her territory. He / she develops and maintains productive relationships with key decision makers including clinicians, nurse specialists, pharmacists and business managers, as appropriate. Through working with medical, market access and patient advocacy colleagues, he/ she brings the best mix of activities to each account, with a strong and results focused approach.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the sales of the Shire immunology portfolio.
Plan, develop and implement a business plan for all key accounts across all products, based on the Business Operational Plans.
Work closely with the immunology x–functional team (Medical/ Patient Access and Services) to ensure a coordinated approach with each centre, through shared objectives.
Maintain, develop and consolidate relationships with all important functions within the haemophilia centres.
Manage territory coverage effectively including overnight stays as required.
Build haemophilia knowledge, in order to grow as a specialist in this field.
Be aware of competitor activity in each account and feed this into the commercial/marketing team on a regular basis
Set up and manage a number of Peer to Peer meetings in the territory to build a strong relationship with stakeholders and to drive uptake of products.
Maintain records and input all contacts into the Baxalta CRM system, to enable robust account management and follow-up. Use this information to plan calls and for annual account planning.
Attend haematology congresses, as required, to manage the promotion of Baxalta products in the Exhibition.
Work closely with the marketing teams to provide input into strategy and campaigns – including Product Specialist role, as agreed.
Use latest Vablet detail aid as part of the customer interaction, where possible.
Support new and existing services in the territory, including homecare service.
Ensure compliance in everything – managing Grants for meetings and attending ‘Sales Briefings’ as required. Complete all training provided (Isotrain and other) within the deadlines given.
Consider best use of company resources, providing clear expense claims as per company policy, and in a timely manner.
Degree educated preferred (Life science/ business)
Proven Pharmaceutical sales experience particularly in specialist / niche markets
Experience in the role of a Key Account Manager, Account Lead or similar within medium to large scale company within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
Good working knowledge of compliance
