POSITION OVERVIEW The Electronic Technician Maintenance II supports the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP) Contract. RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES * Perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment * Perform preventative maintenance IAW technical guidelines and equipment specifications ensuring proper functionality and safe operating conditions * Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting. manufacturers' manuals or similar documents * Perform inventory of spare/repair parts IAW contractual guidelines * Enter work order data in a timely and accurate manner into the management information system. * Apply basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems * May supervise, provide direction/guidance, and check lower-level technicians' work * Ensure that all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner * Read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance * Travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS may be required * Other duties may be assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * U.S. Citizen with Secret clearance (active or eligible) * HS Diploma (AA Degree desirable/Experience Equivalent to Degree) with 2 years of recent electrical/electronic industrial work experience * Minimum 2 years of experience with electrical systems and /or repair of electronic components desired * Experience with electronics and computer testing/troubleshooting * Will consider experience in lieu of formal education (military training, technical school, certifications and/or professional experience) * Able to successfully pass a background check * Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver's license and On-Post driving privileges * Must be able to gain access to military installation PREFERRED SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE * AS/AAS Degree in computers, electronics, or engineering.
