The Opportunity

This position works out of our Wiesbaden location in the Abbott Diabetes Care - Abbott GmbH. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

This position is responsible for the creation and execution of comprehensive and integrated EMEAP commercial learning and development. This includes strategy and development of training initiatives designed to improve sales force excellence and competitive selling capabilities, including the design and execution of programs for sales reps and regional sales managers (RSMs). The role will translate key commercial initiatives into training programs and will work to provide a standardized blueprint for sales force & key commercial function training, as well as approach to translate and execute blueprint for different types of EMEAP markets.

Your Tasks:

  • Responsible for the design and execution of a best-in-class sales learning curriculum that engages employees, drives sales force results, and delivers ongoing leadership and ADC strategic developmental content

  • Designs and implements a global program for the on-boarding of commercial functional personnel, with sustained learning objectives

  • Creates new and innovative training methods to support new ADC product launches, product portfolio and competitive knowledge continuous education programs

  • Develops course content and approach to implementation in collaboration with multi-function, cross-geographical stakeholders

  • Collaborates with Commercial Sales Excellence and marketing to create and implement training modules in customer development and management, leveraging CRM system for process and measurable KPIs

  • Evaluates and implements standardization of a Learning Management System including new hire training, support product eLearning modules and global training user support. Ensure LMS records meet global compliance and audit-ready requirements.

  • Develops, designs, implement and maintain “train the trainer” certification programs, including initial trainer competency and ongoing refresher and certification processes

  • Conducts business impact and KPIs on the most critical learning programs that can measure and report the efficiencies, effectiveness, and impact of the training. Ensure training programs support division goals for business and market expansion, revenue growth and margin targets, and are cost effective

  • Communicates performance and report requirements to required functions

  • Manages outside vendors that assist in training development or implementation

  • Leads team and manages Sales Training associate

Your Qualification:

  • Relevant experience in Instructional Design and Training, including managing modern Learning Management Systems

  • Demonstrated track record of high achievement

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

  • In a commercial capacity within a corporate environment, leading training/ instructional design functions

  • Experience in managing cross functional teams an advantage

  • Experience with Science / Medical Laboratory / Regulated products an advantage

  • International experience or managing global audiences an advantage
