Shire International Patient Services Lead (Associate Director) in Zug, Switzerland
The International Patient Services Lead is responsible for the implementation and execution of Shire’s patient services across the International region. Working cross-functionally (in particular with the Global Patient Services team) key responsibilities include:
Drive best practice sharing across the region
Lead Patient Services Project pilots in selected countries
Drive implementation of patient services across regions
Co-lead with Global Product Strategy on key projects
Drive patient flow implementation across the region
Host repository of International vendors and services
Assessment of available patient services with Compliance and Legal
Ensure all local processes are aligned with the global processes and the legal/compliance framework
Provide training to the countries about the implementation of patient support programs and efficient use of patient flow
The International Patient Services Lead will work closely with the Global Team as well as the Regional Patient Services Leads to develop and co-ordinate the creation and implementation of core patient services blueprints and patient flows.
This role reports into the Head of Diagnostics and Personalized Care and requires strong leadership, stakeholder management (across functions, franchises and geographies), project management and communication skills.
Education and Experience Requirements
Undergraduate or Master’s degree in life sciences or alternatively nursing degree
vast work experience in the life sciences sector
Experience in the field of patient services
Effective communication (written and verbal communication), project management and interpersonal skills
Proven leadership skills
Ability to think creatively and strategically
Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge
Strong capability in managing projects and priorities so that deadlines are met, while retaining consistent, high quality outcomes
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
