Shire Pubs Lead - Lysosomal Storage Diseases in Zug, Switzerland

• Define and drive Lysosomal Storage Diseases franchise publication strategy with Global Affairs key stakeholders

• Develop and implement a strategic, compliant and fit-for-purpose publication plan for the Lysosomal Storage Diseases Therapeutic Area and across Global Medical teams

• Define and drive Lysosomal Storage Diseases franchise publication strategy with Global Affairs key stakeholders

• Develop and implement a strategic, compliant and fit-for-purpose publication plan for the Lysosomal Storage Diseases Franchise and across Global Medical teams

• Collaborate with authors, medical communications agencies, societies, and journals to execute Publication plans

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage product/disease specific Global Publications Strategies and Plans in coordination with Global medical teams

  • Works with GMA TA lead and other key internal and external stakeholders to align product plans with Therapeutic Area strategy

  • Manage publication deliverables, timelines, budget and vendors contracts

  • Review publication deliverables and ensure high scientific quality and alignment and consistency with Compliance/Legal

  • Promote and support good publications practices and principles among authors and internal publications stakeholders

  • Collaborate with Global Medical Communications and relevant Global Medical and International Medical teams to plan medical participation at congresses, symposia and events

  • Track publications metrics and report to Head of Scientific Publications as required

  • Track timely delivery of deliverables against global publications plans and execute initiatives to improve quality and efficiency

Education and experience:

  • Master degree in biomedical discipline is required, higher education degree (M.D., Pharm.D., Ph.D.) is preferred

  • Knowledge of scientific publication planning approaches and best practices required

  • 8 years’ experience within Medical Affairs

  • Experience managing vendors and/or medical communications agencies preferred
