The Opportunity:

As a Global Mobility Advisor, you will be an integral part of the Global Mobility team, assisting in the coordination and execution of domestic and international relocation, transfers and assignments. This entry-level position offers a great opportunity to learn and grow in the field of global mobility. You will work closely with experienced advisors, gaining exposure to various aspects of immigration, relocation, and cross-border employment.

As a member of the Global Mobility team, the Global Mobility Advisor, Associate is primarily responsible for:

  • Assisting with the planning and execution of employee relocations. This includes providing budgetary recommendations, coordinating with vendors and providing support and guidance to the employees throughout the process.

  • Providing support to the team members on global mobility files.

  • Providing support to Global Mobility Lead and Senior Advisor on coordination of different domestic and international mobility cases.

What you can expect to do here:

In accordance with the processes and programs in place, you will be required to observe and comply with the appropriate norms regulating domestic mobility, immigration and People and Culture programs, while also identifying opportunities to improve these programs and processes.

Support Global Mobility Programs:

  • Assist in the implementation and execution of global mobility policies and programs ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with senior advisors to support international assignments, including relocation, immigration, assignment payroll, remote work and compliance matters.

  • Prepare assignment related documentation, including assignment letters, immigration, payroll and detailed cost estimate

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with the team to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Global Mobility program

Employee Assistance

  • Act as a point of contact for employees. addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during their assignments.

  • Provide guidance and support to employees on relocation processes, immigration requirements (basics), assignment payroll and expense claims.

  • Ensure correct interpretation of guidelines and procedures.

  • Manage all facets of the mobility process including pre-departure, mobilization, on-assignment, extension, exceptions and repatriation activities (letter, certificate of coverage, completion bonus, etc.); Done by Uzma

  • Liaise with external providers when required.

  • Responsible for the management of mobility data in various systems including the generation of detailed reports.

Client-Facing Support:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employees undergoing Domestic assignments, providing them with guidance and support throughout the relocation process.

  • Coordinate with clients to ensure that their needs and expectations are met, maintaining a high level of service and communication.

  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication between clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless relocation experiences.

Training and Coordination:

  • Assist in the training and development of Global Mobility Coordinators, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the team effectively.

  • Work closely with the Global Mobility Lead and Senior Manager on coordinating various domestic and international mobility cases, ensuring all aspects of the relocation process are handled efficiently.

  • Maintain Global Mobility page for Canada, which will include but not limited to, process workflows, policy guidelines, and other necessary resources

  • Assist in establishing a Global Mobility invoicing process and engage with relevant stakeholders to manage invoices payment.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • At least 3 to 5 years experience in Global Mobility, including immigration and relocation

  • Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

  • Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to resolve issues related to relocation, taxation, immigration and other aspects related.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office365, primarily Excel, Word and Teams
