Weatherford Drilling Services Reliability Engineer in Aberdeen, United Kingdom
Weatherford have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Drilling Services Reliability Engineer to join the team based in our Aberdeen office.
The Drilling Services Reliability Engineer is a key resource in the Geozone to lead product-based failure analysis. This position serves the purpose of a functional link between the Geozone and the Global Reliability Manager to ensure necessary support is provided to comply with all expectations of Reliability Engineering.

QUALITY
Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and taking an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System.
Maintains Service Quality as an immediate priority when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement.
Lead Critical Product related failure investigations for Key customers and ensure that the appropriate corrective actions are identified and implemented.
OPERATIONS
Maintains oversight of Geozone failure events that occur in field and shop.
Provide root cause analysis expertise.
Lead all product-based root cause analysis for all Drilling Services failures in the Geozone.
Manage Geozone root cause analysis and product related failure review initiatives.
Support corrective action implementation evaluation.
Provide Geozone Reliability Engineering support on Product and Service issues.
Subject Matter Expert on assigned Drilling Services products.
Support New Product Introduction, Field-tests and Product upgrade implementation.
Support Field and Repair & Maintenance (R&M) data capture and archiving.
Support all Drilling Services Sustaining Reliability initiatives in Geozone.
Support risk evaluation and implementation of product deviations (MOCs).
Review and support R&M process optimization.
With support from Global Product Line or Sustaining Engineering, provide input and review technical content of R&M documentation in conjunction with local Drilling Services R&M personnel.
Participate in Customer Response initiatives for Geozone.
Support QA Geozone led incident reviews and lead Reliability Corrective Action reviews.
Issue Geozone Reliability Alerts.

Required:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (preference for Engineering, electrical or mechanical, or other technical degree)
Strong technical knowledge of drilling and M/LWD technologies.
2 – 5 year of Drilling Service operations or drilling services repair and maintenance experience.
Handles complex detailed argumentation well.
Comprehensive knowledge and operational understanding of Drilling Services Operations and equipment.
Possess strong customer service skills, i.e. listening, follow-through, willingness to help.
Good understanding and knowledge of QHSE Management systems.
Good presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues.
Must be able to work closely and communicate interactively with all level of employees with Weatherford, supply chain, sub-contractor, and client base.
Good computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Project.
Comprehensive operational understanding of both Enterprise and Drilling Services systems including Myadvisor, Windchill, WPTS, WCAP and ASL.
Ability to work well with all levels of personnel.
Preferred:
Advance Root Cause Analysis training is preferred.
Previous experience in reliability roles is preferred.
Experienced in Field Operations.
