R4-Inc. is a SDVOSB, who specializes in providing counter-IED technologies by performing engineering, logistics, integration, and program management services.
We are in search of an Electronics Engineering Technician for a direct hire opportunity. This position will be based in either Maryland or Virginia, and will deploy to Afghanistan for 90 day shifts.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The candidate is responsible for reverse-engineering electronic circuits systems at various maturation levels. The candidate will be responsible for reporting and briefing critical finds to both military and DoD civilian leadership.
Primary Functions: Measure and report against the technical characterization and exploitation of homemade, custom and commercial-grade electronic circuits for multi-agency customers.

The regular exercise of ingenuity, creativity, analytical problem solving skills and tact will be required to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment. The candidate is required to have the following abilities:
Abilities:
Regularly use equipment and software found in electronic laboratories (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, communication receivers, waveform generators, handheld digital multi-meters, CAD applications, etc.)
Reverse-engineer electronic circuits to produce a working schematic, block diagram, state-flow diagram, RF characteristics, and general technical description
Able use standard Microsoft Office software applications effectively and efficiently (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
Able to clearly articulate the problem set and findings at impromptu meetings, scheduled in-person meetings, and teleconference meetings
Anticipates, identifies, and solves problems independently while working well with others
Organized, ability to multi-task while completing priorities in a timely manner
Operating with a high degree of autonomy and efficiency
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Electrical Technology, Computer Engineering, RF Engineering, Communications Engineering, Test Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering; highly qualified technicians and ham-radio enthusiasts are encouraged to apply
Three-to-five years of professional work experience in a relevant technical field, or one year of professional work experience with a relevant master’s degree or higher
