New Products Development Assistant [The New Products Development (NPD) Assistant will aid NPD and Research and Development (RandD) by utilizing industrial sewing skills to produce product samples and provide additional sewing support. They will assist in coordinating and collaborating with NPD and Production to implement new products. They will support, report to, and be directed by the New Products Development Director.

- Maintains in-process inventory at workstations by delivering WIP totes and staging daily materials and supplies as delegated by the Sewing Manager.
- Independently cut and assemble all Marketing, Black and White, and NPD samples, as well as special requests from other departments.
- Assist the NPD Team with the processing of new and updated products from RandD to Production as directed by the NPD Director.
- Act as a liaison between NPD and Production personnel to enable the transfer of new products and product updates.
- Test jigs, fixtures, and sewing techniques to provide feedback to the Production Engineer when developing improvements to new and existing Production processes.
- Provide supplemental support to RandD and NPD by completing background projects as assigned by the NPD Director.
- Adhere to deadlines and priorities set by the NPD Director within the NPD Task tracker system.
- Possess a basic understanding of standard raw materials used in building products such as Cordura, Squadron, Webbing, Elastic, etc.
- Able to operate and perform advanced troubleshooting on cutting and sewing equipment, while identifying the need for external services.
