What You’ll Get to Do :

CACI is seeking an experienced Tactical Data Architect in support of the Enduring Experimentation for Optimal Networks (EEON) task within the Network Cross-Functional Team (N-CFT). Under the EEON task you will oversee and drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge data architecture solutions in experimental settings. You will work with a team focused on innovative data management and integration of solutions to enhance the Army's tactical network experimentation and operational capabilities.

More About the Role:

  • This role demands a deep understanding of tactical military communications, advanced data architecture, and a strong aptitude for leading experimental projects.

Duties will include but not limited to the following.

Data Architecture Design:

  • Develop and maintain robust data architecture plans tailored for tactical environments.

  • Design data models, schemas, and database structures to support the efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of data.

Experimentation Leadership:

  • Lead the design, execution, and evaluation of data architecture experiments to test and validate new concepts and technologies.

  • Develop experiment plans, including objectives, methodologies, and success criteria.

Implementation and Integration:

  • Oversee the deployment and integration of data systems and infrastructure in tactical settings.

  • Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between various systems and platforms.

Data Management and Optimization:

  • Monitor and manage the performance of data systems, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Implement strategies to optimize data storage, access, and processing capabilities.

Data Security and Compliance:

  • Develop and enforce data security protocols to protect sensitive information.

  • Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, standards, and best practices.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, cybersecurity, and operations, to ensure data architectures align with mission objectives.

  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members and stakeholders.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data architecture and military operations.

  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to address evolving challenges in tactical data environments.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications :

  • TS/SCI preferred but a minimum of a Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degree in a relevant discipline preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data architecture or a related field, with a focus on tactical or military environments.

  • Proven experience in designing and managing complex data systems.

  • Expertise in data architecture design, implementation, and management.

  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques.

  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization software.

  • Proficiency in data security principles and practices.

  • Experience with data management tools and platforms.

  • Familiarity with DoD standards and regulations, such as the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) guidelines.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Leadership abilities and experience in managing technical teams.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have :

  • Experience in military or defense-related data management and architecture is highly desirable.

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent.

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

  • TOGAF or other relevant certifications

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$105,100 - 231,100 USD
