National Fuel Compressor Station Operator in Addison, New York
National Fuel has an immediate, full-time opening for a Compressor Station Operator in the Operations department at our Tuscarora Station location in Addison, NY. Primary Responsibilities: Operation, maintenance and routine repairs to gas compressors and natural gas power engines. Operate gas dehydration systems, odorizers, radios, flow controllers and pressure regulation equipment. Identify and react to abnormal operating conditions in compressor and pipeline facilities. Accurate documentation and record keeping of pressures, flows and temperatures on equipment. Follow all operating protocols, inspection requirements, maintenance tasks, and safety procedures to ensure safe and reliable operation of facilities. Required Qualifications: Demonstrated mechanical ability. Excellent communication skills and Basic computer knowledge and literacy are required. Ability to read, legibly prepare written documentation and have the ability to accurately interpret and analyze written information. The physical capability to work outdoors in all types of weather also in and around hazards and difficult to reach areas. Must be available to work Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm. Candidates must live within a reasonable commute to the Tuscarora Station location located at 7249 County Route 100, Addison NY 14801 or be willing to relocate. HS Diploma/GED and valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of compressors, pumps, gauges, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Prior experience working as a Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic as well as experience with engine repair, installation and troubleshooting of pneumatic and electrical equipment.
The successful candidate will be required to pass a DOT mandated drug test, as well as participate in random drug testing. The DOT maintains a list of banned substances which includes medicinal or recreational marijuana.
