Staxmatic, LLC Controls/Building Automation Technician III in Addison, Texas

Position Overview: As a Controls/Building Automation Technician III, you will play a critical role in troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing Building Automation Systems. You will be expected to apply your expertise to ensure that systems operate efficiently and effectively, while also developing strong relationships with our clients and providing top-notch service.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and service Building Automation Systems.

  • Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and circuits to diagnose and resolve issues.

  • Work with systems and software such as Tridium, Andover Controls, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Reliable, CSI, TAC, Siemens, Automated Logic, Schneider Electric, Trane, PLCs, or Alerton.

  • Diagnose system performance through observation, testing, and setup.

  • Perform planned maintenance and inspections according to service agreements.

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment proficiently.

  • Complete service contracts, quoted service projects, and service calls as directed.

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and clearly explain work performed.

  • Manage material purchases and issue purchase orders for repairs.

  • Maintain equipment, tools, and inventory stock on the service vehicle.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and device data sheets.

  • Utilize testing and metering devices effectively.

  • Be familiar with Windows operating systems and relevant software.

  • Serve as the local contact for technical issues, offering effective solutions for complex system issues.

  • Ensure systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.

  • Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.

    Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or the electrical field.

  • Proven experience working with systems and software such as Tridium, Andover Controls, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Reliable, CSI, TAC, Siemens, Automated Logic, Schneider Electric, Trane, PLCs, or Alerton.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls using a multi-meter.

  • Knowledge of temperature control systems, air conditioning/heating systems (HVAC), and networked applications.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and device data sheets.

  • Familiarity with various Building Automation Systems and software platforms.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a professional demeanor and solid interpersonal abilities.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
