Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Recognition Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with accounting standards (ASC 606, IFRS 15, etc.). This role will involve reviewing contracts, analyzing financial data, preparing journal entries, and assisting in audits. The Revenue Recognition Accountant will collaborate closely with sales, legal, and operations teams to ensure revenue is recognized correctly and consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition based on applicable accounting standards.
Prepare and review journal entries related to revenue recognition.
Ensure compliance with ASC 606, IFRS 15, and other relevant standards.
Assist in financial reporting and audits related to revenue.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure accurate reporting.
Maintain and update revenue recognition policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles and accounting standards (ASC 606, IFRS 15).
Experience with financial reporting and ERP systems.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
