Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

Production workers will pre-label bags and feed them into the bagger. They are required to understand the software of the bagger system and be able to perform light maintenance when required. After bags are filled, operators ensure they are properly sealed and weigh product to ensure it meets standards. The role involves mixing, batching, panning, and packing. Candidates must be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-label bags and feed them into the bagger.

  • Understand and operate the bagger system software.

  • Perform light maintenance on the bagger system as needed.

  • Ensure filled bags are properly sealed and meet weight standards.

  • Mix, batch, pan, and pack products.

  • Lift and move items weighing up to 50lbs.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in packing, labeling, stacking, moving, assembling, mixing, and blending.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to perform tasks such as packing, palletizing, visual inspection, machine operating, and blending.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prefer at least 6 months of manufacturing experience, with food manufacturing experience being highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated drive to advance within the company.

Work Environment

This is a food manufacturing facility that adheres to all health and safety guidelines. The work environment is clean and well-lit, with a fast pace requiring a lot of standing. Employees must wear hairnets, beard nets, steel-toed shoes, and lab coats. Helpers work in an enclosed area with up to four other employees. The environment can be dusty due to the nature of the product, and those working in the dryer area may be exposed to temperatures up to 100 degrees.

Shift: 10:30pm - 6:45am , Monday - Friday

  • Will be working 50 hours a week

  • Must arrive early for shift to get set-up in PPE to be in shift meeting by 10:30pm

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Affton, Missouri.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.50
