Aggreko Project Sales Manager - Data Centres in Africa, South Africa

We are hiring Project Sales Manager – Data Centres where you will be responsible to identify and drive business development opportunities in the African Data Centre market/sector.

Role Overview: This opportunity is for a self-motivating, high energy individual with excellent business development and negotiation skills. This individual must have a good understanding of the data centre industry and its different relevant role players. To ensure the successful roll-out of projects, a good understanding of project management and attention to detail is required with excellent people skills.

What you’ll do:

  • Build a robust sales pipeline and forecast that will yield future profitable revenue/ EBITDA streams.

  • Execute strategic Sales Plan with clear objectives and planned activity; expand business portfolio by winning good quality deals; regularly report progress.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues including bid managers, Engineering, Pricing, Legal and other specialists, and following agreed protocols (“Deal Clinic”, White Paper et al) build and present “Value Propositions”.

  • Proactively provide industry and market intelligence to the wider Aggreko community.

  • Deliver all required reports, forecasts, and CRM updates in a timely manner.

  • Do proper hand-over to the project execution team with excellent attention to details.

  • Participate in market sizing, forecasting and budget preparation and work closely with Marketing Team in the context of sector specific campaigns.

    You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Business & Commercial acumen: understands the industry, market trends, customer behavior and competitors; able to construct high value complex proposals.

  • Sales expertise - know how to work a sales pipeline, manage, and forecast sales that will lead to revenue growth and build relationships with clients.

  • Product/ technology - The experience required to understand and articulate how Aggreko’s products and services match customer applications.

  • Communication & Interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; ability to build strong relationships with clients, industry partners and other stakeholders; able to collaborate well internally.

  • Data & Analytical skills: able to analyze sales data and using it to make informed decisions that can improve sales performance; analyze key performance indicators and conducting market research are essential to the job.

  • Project Management: able to handle multiple projects at once, prioritize workloads and manage tight timelines.
