Naval Medical Command SECRETARY (OA) in Agana, Guam

Summary You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the Commanding Officer's Office of US NMRTC GUAM. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 12.04% will be added to the stated salary. Responsibilities You will serve as the personal secretary and office manager for the Command Suite. You will devise and implement procedures and practices for office management to be used in subordinate offices in the command. You will evaluate automated systems and work flow processes utilized in office management and develop recommendations for computer enhancement and or procedural improvements. You will receive and review all correspondence for the command; reply to mail not requiring the Commanding Officers attention; route matters requiring action by subordinate managers; and follow up to ensure that actions are completed. You will compose correspondence from notes, rough drafts, telephone conversations, and messages into final format. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-8 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: maintaining an executive calendar, identifying administrative issues, coordinating administrative work in an office, managing organizational files, and recommending changes in administrative procedures and practice. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
