Position Overview The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. The Associate Product Manager (FastenMaster) helps bridge the gap between various departments within the organization and aligns teams working to drive sales growth of assigned products. This key position will have the ability to collect, analyze and interpret quantifiable product data as well as customer feedback and use it to drive performance with our best customers and with the end-user. The Associate Product Manager (FastenMaster) must be a strong communicator, manage their time efficiently, possess strong organizational skills, and above all, be an enthusiastic team player. Responsibilities Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees. Take the lead in new product development initiatives and engage end users to analyze market needs and make recommendations on product offering improvements. Recommend pricing changes based on a thorough understanding of our costs and an analysis of the end user\'s willingness to spend. Research market potential, current market share, and competitive product positioning and provide recommendations to the team. Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis collaborating with cross-functional teams to feature, validate and develop ideas that fit into the overall product vision. Ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams, communicating clearly and compellingly as the subject matter expert on FastenMaster technical products. Create product support and training documents for internal and external users. Support Service Delivery Managers, Operations, and Sales team efforts to drive product needs and continuous process improvement related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. Achieve the key performance indicators you are entrusted with. Support the Technical Management team with necessary data to obtain required industry approvals. Perform other tasks as assigned. Requirements Bachelor\'s degree in a related field preferred. 2+ years\' experience in sales, marketing, or product management. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating a strong bias for action. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to stand, walk, climb, talk, hear, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Able to participate in construction job site visits. Strong PC skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Able to work flexible hours with some weekends required. Travel up to 10 to 15%. Positive can-do attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to operate a motor vehicle while maintaining focus on safe driving and avoiding all distractions when behind the wheel, especially cell phones. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and occasionally lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 Must be able to complete all essential job functions listed in the position responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
