Joni and Friends Marketing Automation Specialist in Agoura Hills, California
Under the supervision of the Email Marketing and Automation Manager, support the overall objectives of Joni and Friends’ Marketing department. Perform duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Duties
Email Marketing Automation
Collaborate with Marketing team to optimize Marketing Cloud’s automation tools for various marketing channels and campaigns
Execute CRM strategies and marketing automation including customer journeys and ongoing engagement
Complete production and deployment for automated email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging, and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic content-driven campaigns inside Marketing Cloud
Build and deploy recurring email publications as required, including Daily Devotional, Prayer Group, and Bible Reading Group email
Manage and monitor email campaign performance including deployment timing, data needs, integration, analysis, reporting, and results
Optimize email KPIs including inbox deliverability, data feeds, and mobile metrics; cultivate growth by finetuning segment lists based on behaviors
Troubleshoot email deliverability issues and manage opt-out requests
Collaborate across the organization to understand marketing needs
Work with Marketing and other departments on the development of Salesforce, Classy, and Asana integrations
Maintain documentation of processes, streamlining to improve efficiencies
Donation Pages
Create and update donation pages as required for ministry initiatives and campaigns; implement source codes for attribution
Work alongside Development and Marketing to track donations, analyze website behavior, and improve donor user experience
Event Registration and Fundraising
Manage ticketed event registration, autoresponder emails, and fundraising activity within Classy and Salesforce CRM
Collaborate with Global Operations, Development, and Accounting to ensure accurate fund codes are attached to events/donation forms and mapped appropriately
Run registration activity and post-event summary reports and provide troubleshooting solutions for the platforms
Resolve related support ticket
SMS Marketing
Develop and manage process to collect SMS opt-ins from constituents
Develop SMS strategies for donor and volunteer engagement including the segmentation strategy, sequencing, and dynamic content
Create standard operating procedures for SMS marketing
Data Analysis
Report weekly insights to management for constituent engagement, journeys, and testing
Analyze email, donation page, and SMS metrics to evaluate success; provide data-driven recommendations to refine journeys that convert leads into constituents
Industry Knowledge and Advancements
Stay current on industry trends related to marketing automation and innovation; maintain expert status on Marketing Cloud
Recommend new tools to enhance cultivation, engagement, and customization
Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs
Qualifications
Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
Strong ability to create, execute, and manage successful marketing campaigns and constituent journeys
Proven experience with marketing automation, data analysis, and SMS marketing
3+ years of experience with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud
Excellent interpersonal skills; professional ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal forms across all levels of management
Ability to travel to Joni and Friends headquarters quarterly
Proficiency in Asana, Classy, SMS platforms, basic HTML, and CSS preferred
Certification(s) in Salesforce products (Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist) preferred
Strong general computer skills are necessary along with a competent, working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and the Internet
Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
The compensation for this position is based on a national benchmark of $66,560 - $72,000, and may vary based on the location of the employee, as it can be a remote position.
