Are you ready to go beyond?What You Will DoPratt & Whitney Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) s seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Engineer I to join our world-class organization. CDS is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development and support, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, product software design, verification & validation and engine and flight test support. Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship. Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions to control dynamic mechanical, power, and electric systems.Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into software or systems requirements and designs.Conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs.Perform software verification including regression analysis, test case development, test script development and evaluation of results.English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak EnglishMust be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenshipQualifications You Must HaveBachelor’s Degree in EngineeringMust have a GPA of 3.0 or higherU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Travel is up to 10%Qualifications We PreferBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical engineering.6 months of experience using C++, MATLAB, Java, or Python.Basic understanding of gas turbine jet engine operation and sub-systems.3 months of experience with modeling tools for complex systems (NPSS, Dymola, Simulink).Project experience in control logic design.US Security Clearance is preferred; willing to obtain and maintain.What We Offer:Employee Scholar ProgramLearn More & Apply Now!CDS develops complex, cyber-resilient control systems and software for commercial and military engines including power and thermal management Systems and auxiliary power units.
