Responsibilities You will inspect, recommend, prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, and take action to repair and maintain facilities and grounds. You will review maintenance service contract plans and specifications for new contracts, contract renewal or modification of existing contracts. You will inspect facilities and review reported deficiencies to determine the safest, efficient and cost-effective way to perform repairs. You will coordinate contractor personnel requirements relative to security and area clearances with other commands. You will establish and maintain effective working relationships in all maintenance service contractor provided service areas to ensure customer satisfaction. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing facilities maintenance, including routine and emergency repairs; negotiating, approving, managing, and executing facilities service contracts; and managing purchase card usage. Recruitment incentives may be authorized to eligible new hires. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized in accordance with applicable command policy. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.90% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time. Vacancies filled from this announcement may be filled at any grade level listed. Appointment may be extended without further competition or be terminated prior to the NTE date of initial appointment. Incumbent may be converted to perm without further competition. This position is obligated to an employee serving in a foreign Over Seas tour; current tour agreement is set to expire 12/27/2026.
