Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $19 / hour
What you'll be doing as a Welder:
Advanced understanding of welding necessary to produce metal components
Must follow all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/Tag out
Ability to weld two or more different types (Mig, Tig, etc.)
Set up components for welding according to specifications
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws with Quality team
Ability to adjust welding machine
Understand and accurately report daily production quantities to meet set number of parts per hour
Consistent and accurate counts of materials and products
Ability to do daily maintenance on welding machine
Performs necessary quality checks on product and completes daily communication
Ability to setup workstation according to safety standards to perform maximum efficiency
Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to established procedures.
Maintain a positive attitude with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
Ability to complete the first part approval process for complex jobs
May tack weldments or components for robotic welding
May touch up points in the robotic weld cell
Available shifts:
Shift Timings: 2nd Shift (Evening)
Job requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
2 years welding experience required
Ability to safely perform work in varying work conditions
Flat Weld Certification (1G 6G) preferred Aws D1.1 and stainless
Working knowledge of welding with previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to understand and follow instructions
Effective problem-solving skills/detailed oriented/sense of urgency
Ability to read blueprints and use measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and fillet gauges
Ability to be forklift certified
Ability to follow hoist safety protocols
Self-motivated, takes initiative
Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
Excellent hand/eye coordination
Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools
Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
Consistently wear personal protective equipment
Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels
