Job Title: Senior Acquisition Program Manager

Location: Alamogordo, NM

Canvas Inc is seeking an Acquisition Project Manager (PM) and Contract Team Lead to support the 704th Test Group (704 TG) performing Advisory and Assistance Support (A&AS) for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC). The PM will assist the 704th Test Support Squadron (704 TSS) and AEDC Project Management Division with overseeing and managing all aspects of the DRMS project and act as supervisor for a dynamic cross functional A&AS team located at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. This role involves planning and coordinating multiple contracting efforts across cross functional teams at multiple bases. This individual must effectively manage cost, schedule and performance of acquisition projects, and communicate progress to stakeholders. The PM must possess proven supervisory, leadership and organizational skills to drive successful project outcomes in DRMS and support the overall 704 TG A&AS requirements.

Duties:

  • Assist with project execution and reporting to include; developing project requirements and acquisition strategies, developing project schedules, developing project budgets and funding requests, forecasting obligation and expenditure rates, tracking actual obligation and expenditure rates, identifying and tracking project risks and mitigations, Identifying and tracking project issues and resolutions, and tracking contract documents through the respective financial databases.

  • Assist with stakeholder identification and documentation.

  • Participate in and document team meetings with project team.

  • Assist with requirements generation, deliverables identification, market research, acquisition strategies and communication with contracting teams.

  • Assist with the generation and evaluation of project tasks, schedules and resources.

  • Assist with development of project budgets and adjust based on schedule changes.

  • Provide support with briefing materials and presentation of project status to stakeholders, maintain clear and open communication channels with stakeholders, provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns or questions.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate documentation of project activities, decisions and outcomes.

  • Assist in development periodically update Project Management Plan and Life-cycle Support Plan.

  • Consistently advocate and justify personnel required for CONOPs.

  • Identify, document, and advise on multiple courses of action to ensure technical performance and meet expenditure goals with a fluctuating budget.

  • Up to 15% travel annually.

    Requirements:

  • Master's degree plus three to ten years' experience required (Experience may be substituted for education with prior customer approval)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite including Outlook, Teams, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Project and Excel.

  • Proven experience supervising cross-functional teams, references requested.

  • Experience with government support contracts and deliverables.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to lead cross functional team meetings and brief project status.

  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Project Server to include is experience with creating detailed schedules, linking dependencies between tasks, adding funding and personnel resources to a project, and generating reporting of status and variances highly desired.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desired.

    Required Security Level: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret security clearance.
