JOB TITLE: Bicycle Workshop and Program Manager

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Alamosa Bicycle Coalition is located in Alamosa Colorado. Staff are expected to work in-person a significant part of every week. Must reside in or relocate to the San Luis Valley, Colorado. In-person meetings with community partners.e Able to lift 50 pounds. Able to stand for long periods while helping with workshop duties and programming Valid drivers license required for some tasks Some evening and weekend hours, as needed Occasional travel outside the San Luis Valley for specialized training and/or regional conferences in support of ABC s mission

SKILLS: This position includes a range of internal and outward facing tasks designed to further ABC s mission through managing the organization s bike workshop and bike-related infrastructure, as well as carry out related programming in the workshop and for community partners in other locations throughout Alamosa. The position will help maintain and expand ABC s programmatic structures and reach, as ABC grows from an emerging, volunteer-driven non-profit into a more fully-staffed and sustainable organization. ABC is currently looking to staff two scopes of work. Depending on experience, interest, and the number of hours of work desired, there is the possibility of someone assuming a mix of tasks that cut across these areas of work. Applicants are encouraged to review the Executive Director position as well. The persons filling the mix of tasks between these two positions will work closely as a team. Working closely with ABC s other staff, volunteers, and partners, this position will have the primary responsibilities to maintain the infrastructure and capacity needed to sustain ABC s bike workshop, along with ABC s existing and potentially expanding bike-related programming. This position will also work closely with a half-time staff person placed with ABC, through SLVGO s Embajadores program, to collaborate on bike-related programming.

DUTIES: Workspace Management (60%) Maintain a consistent inventory of bike repair products and tools used in the workspace Work with the executive director to implement needed workshop maintenance and upgrades, along with workshop and program purchase requests Collect used bike donations from community partners and individual donors, in coordination with the executive director Evaluate donated bikes and bike parts for use in specific programs Refurbish donated bikes for bike referrals and use in other ABC programs Coordinate organization and use of ABC s off-site storage area for donated bikes, parts, and program equipment Prepare and staff the workshop for drop-in community bike repair needs, classes, etc.

Program Facilitation (40%) Plan, organize, and facilitate the organization s existing programs, with the support of the executive director, volunteers, and any needed contracts for specialized services. This includes partner referrals for individuals needing bicycles for transportation; drop-in workshop hours for community members; bicycle repair skills-building classes; and partner-requested bike events for youth and adults Work with the executive director to determine ABC s capacity to respond to requests from community partners for new types or levels of programming Recruit and maintain a diverse pool of bike-programming volunteers and provide coaching and development in bike-specific skills for volunteers, to ensure appropriate support for implementing programs.

WAGES: $21,500- $23,500 depending on experience (DOE)* *Depending on experience, interest, and availability, this position may combine responsibilities included within the Executive Director position linked above, and may range between 20-32 hours a week accordingly. The unique combination of skills, experience, and needs of candidates identified to fill this and ABC s other open position will guide decisions about final job descriptions and hours for these positions. Status: Exempt, Permanent, negotiable between 20 - 32 hours depending on experience
