Description Robert Half is searching for a talented entry-level Accountant. You will be responsible for entering data, reviewing financial statements, and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets. You will report to the Accounting Manager, be a vital member of a dynamic team, and have the potential for career growth. If you have an aptitude for Excel, a positive attitude, and a desire to work in an entry-level accounting position, then this position could be the perfect fit. This long-term contract / temporary entry-level Accountant position is located in Albany, New York.
Your responsibilities in this role
Executing alternate duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
Input data
Make monthly journal entries
Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Making sure that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct
Researching and rectifying account discrepancies
Aiding in audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits Requirements - Demonstrated knowledge of pricing
Adeptness in About Time
Prior experience with debt
Knowledge of EO/IR systems
Foundational knowledge in Account maintenance
Compliance experience
Federal Regulation experience preferred
Policy experience preferred
Background working with Regulation
Strong familiarity with QA Management
Data entry experience desired
Proficiency in procedures
Earlier work involving Spreadsheets
Good understanding of Loan Administration
General familiarity with Hiring Processes
Collection Processes experience highly preferred
Comprehension of agreements
Previous experience working with loan origination
Experience with Financial Transaction
Accounting Systems experience desired
Command of Microsoft Excel
Adjustments experience highly valued
Hands-on experience with Conduct Interviews
Practical knowledge of security
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
1 year of relevant accounting experience necessary
Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
An AA or BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business suggested
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
